Greetings Parents, Teachers, and Students!

My name is Viridiana Herrera Solis, and I am the technology specialist at Granite Pointe Elementary. Recently I have started a Technology Club at the request of a group of students, and our club has grown over the past few months. Your student has been invited to join our Tech Club! They will be working with computers, software, tools, and helping around our school site. They will also be working on research projects and learning a lot about technology! Our club is excited to get started and see what we can accomplish before the school year ends.

Students are going to be joining us on a trial basis, during which time I will evaluate them for:

-responsibility with tools, grades, and homework

-respect for others

-creativity / exploration of ideas

-interactions with other students

-respect for technology

-willingness to learn

-good attitude

We will be having meetings once a week during lunch time. However, we will also have meetings twice a month after school in order to work on research projects and presentations.

After school meetings will be on:

1st and 3rd Friday of every month

3-5 pm

Room 32

Pickups will be in the Cafeteria

After school meetings are optional.

¡Saludos padres, maestros y estudiantes!

Mi nombre es Viridiana Herrera Solís, y soy especialista en tecnología en Granite Pointe Elementary. Recientemente, comencé un Club de Tecnología a pedido de un grupo de estudiantes, y nuestro club ha crecido en los últimos meses. ¡Su estudiante ha sido invitado a unirse a nuestro Tech Club! Trabajarán con computadoras, software, herramientas y ayudarán en nuestro sitio escolar. ¡También trabajarán en proyectos de investigación y aprenderán mucho sobre tecnología! Nuestro club está entusiasmado por comenzar y ver qué podemos lograr antes de que termine el año escolar.

Los estudiantes se unirán a nosotros a modo de prueba, durante los cuales los evaluaré para:

-responsabilidad con herramientas, calificaciones y tareas
-Respeto a los demas
-creatividad / exploración de ideas
-interacciones con otros estudiantes
-respeto por la tecnología
-voluntad de aprender
-buena actitud

Tendremos reuniones una vez por semana durante la hora del almuerzo. Sin embargo, también tendremos reuniones dos veces al mes después de la escuela para trabajar en proyectos de investigación y presentaciones.

Las reuniones después de la escuela serán en:

1er y 3er viernes de cada mes
3-5 pm
Sala 32
Las recogidas estarán en la cafetería.

Las reuniones después de la escuela son opcionales.
